I was very disappointed to see that a buyer had left negative feedback for me having received no prior warning that there was a problem. The comments left are completely inaccurate. The item is a brand new sealed product. It has never been opened. If there was some problem with the cream, then this must have happened in the manufacturing process. I have sold several of these and had no other complaints. Looking at the feedback the buyer has left others, I noticed that almost exactly the same feedback had been left for another seller for exactly the same product, at the same time. So the buyer had bought the same product from two different sellers and left the same negative feedback at the same time. If there is a problem with the product this surely proves that it is a manufacturing fault and that myself and the other seller are in no way responsible. I sent a message to the buyer asking if we could discuss the issue and the his reply stated 'That's what I think. Do not text me again'. I though buyers and sellers were supposed to work together to try and resolve issues? The buyer appears to have a history of regularly leaving negative feedback. As a honest seller of genuine products I try hard to ensure I provide a friendly and efficient service. I have a lot more items to sell and the competition on eBay for my products is very strong. I believe this thoughtlessly left and completely untrue negative feedback can have a detrimental effect on my sales. The fact that the buyer is even unwilling to discuss the matter just shows complete contempt for me as a seller. I have filed a request for the feedback to be removed and been told it is ineligible as the buyer is entitled to their opinion of their experience.
It just seems so unfair and biased in favour of the buyer who can apparently comment how they like and the seller has no recourse whatsoever.
"shows complete contempt for me as a seller." ?
your listings state "No returns accepted "
Yet you are a business seller but trading as a private seller in violation of the law and eBay rules.
Unfortunately buyers must/should be suspicious of 'private' sellers holding so much stock of brand new goods.
I had a simular problem with a buyer but a item of clothing . Left negative feedback for me . Then had the cheek to send me a rude email . I also tried to get the feedback removed with no avail . Best thing to do is to block the buyer from bidding on your items / contacting you in the future. .
I have NEVER asked ebay to remove Any negative feedback received. I am taking one for the team.
You can reply below the feedback you have recived. I suggest polite and fair response.
If people keep getting regative feedbacks removed, it hides buyer's conduct and history. So when someone buys from me, I can see how many negative feed backs have they left sellers.
In a 12 months, it will be gone. Don't take it personally.
It would n't stop me buying from you. I would see you as a victim and support you.
"I have filed a request for the feedback to be removed"
Could be by bringing yourself to the attention of ebay they will have picked up that you are selling illegally.
Mentioning competition, you are competing unfairly with genuine Business Sellers, it is surprising that they have not reported you to amongst others Ebay and Trading Standards.
