Should a listing of a men's jumper have the word 'men's' in the title?

Should a listing of a men's jumper have the word 'men's' in the title? It would seem superfluous if the jumper is correctly listed within the men's clothing category, or could this be wrong?!!! Would like to have people's views.

Before you list anything at all, you need to register as a business seller as at the moment you are illegally trading on eBay...

I would say yes, it should. I doubt most buyers search using the categories (I certainly don't) so if someone keys 'M&S blue jumper size medium' into the Search box without including gender, every jumper fitting those criteria will appear.

It's always best to include all pertinent details in titles anyway, as they seem to be all that many buyers read these days...!

it doesn't hurt to have it in all places, item title, description and item specifics

that way the buyer can't say they didn't realise it was a mens jumper

Thank you for your response. I was asking to gain a deeper insight into the way people think and search, particularly since I find myself listing unwanted clothing for family members. My thing is mainly magazines. I would imagine that few prospective buyers would ever go through a massive list of jumper listings for both male and female; they would seek to limit the search to men's jumpers by simply selecting Men's Jumpers & Cardigans in the left panel. As long as the pertinent detail, as another correspondent puts it, has been entered in the item specifics, the jumper will be seen in the men's fashion listings just the same, and I have a less convoluted title and certainly (slightly) shorter one that may allow for more interesting details, if there were there any.

nope a lot of buyers, myself included, type what we want to buy in the search box,


so if I'm looking for a mans jumper I would type that in the search box

and then use the menus to narrow it down further
