Selling to a bidder before an auction has finished.

I have been asked by a bidder to sell to them before an auction has finished.

Is that allowed?

Why would you even consider it...? It's not fair to the other bidders who spent their valuable time searching for a suitable item, and then placing their bids. Just tell this person that, and let the auction run its course.

And I can almost guarantee that the auction will end with a bid higher than the amount this person is offering - he knows this, and is simply after a bargain.

if they are the highest bidder and the bid is at an acceptable amount you can end the listing choosing sell to the highest bidder

Agree. Just had a message from them and they said they did not realise that's how it worked.
