Selling my car by auction

I've today listed my car for a 5 day auction listing.  I've already had two bids and 89 views.  I've also had a lot of interest from potential buyers on another secialist interest site.  I'm trying to work out how to manage the sale, get the best (or a good ) price, enable interested people to inspect etc.. My interpretation of ebay Motors rules is that I can  cancel listing if I do it more than 12 hours before the end if , for example, I sell it by another route/elsewhere.  Is that correct?  Thank you.  Any other advice welcome.

your interpretation of the rules is completely wrong,

you are not supposed to list on other sites at the same time as on ebay,

if you cancel bids and end the sale you are still charged the final value fees

As you have listed your vehicle on auction, you are, therefore, not permitted to exchange contact details to allow viewings.

For the sale of vehicles, it is better to advertise as a classified advert. Fixed fee of £19.99 and no problem in exchanging any contact details for viewings.

I assume you have used the standard auction pages.

If so standard eBay rules will apply.

You can end your listing if you follow eBay rules, see the help pages.

But you will still pay listing fees

You must sell it to your highest bidder and the risk may well be the sale value falls short of the price you expected.
