Retaliation feedback won't be removed from ebay.

Hi guys,

Veteran ebayer here but currently dealing with an extremely frustrating issue.

I buy and sell a lot on ebay.

Recently I purchase two items from a seller - I asked politely if they would combine postage - the answer from them was no (which is fine) - however the message I received was also rude, mocking and accusing me of being greedy and cheap.  Was pretty flabbergasted - they went off on one for no reason.

Anyway, no skin off my nose was about to pay and they could send them in two packages if they wanted but they just cancelled both transactions stating other buyers were interested (assuming they wanted more for the items anyway however that's another story).

So naturally I left them two negative feedback as they cancelled the sales without asking me or for any valid reason.

They then (the same day) proceeded to purchase one of my items (the cheapest item I had for sale, for £10).

Afterwards started messaging things like "I hope the post cost is correct" and "I hope the item is in good condition."

Obviously being nasty and already looking for issues to either return the item, or receive it and leave negative feedback in return.

I already knew this was going to be an issue so I warned ebay chat about this prior to cancelling the sale so it was logged.  They advised me to block the buyer and agreed I could cancel the sale if I was not comfortable.

Lo and behold they have now left me negative feedback for the item they bought from me.

Thought it would be a simple routine of telling  ebay as I had already raised this issue in advance and it would be removed.  However it did not turn out like that.

Explained the situation to ebay first on chat, then requested feedback being removed which was denied.  I then called thinking I may receive some more sense on the phone and they are refusing to remove it stating it is based on the buyers experience.  Asked to speak to manager was told same thing.  Now waiting on senior manager call back.

It's ridiculous.  Wasted hours of my time on this already.

Anyone have any experience of this or advice on what route to go down?

Thanks in advance.

adding to the advice already given -

This is the good reason that one should never buy and sell with the same account.

looking at a group of negs you left, you have been very unlucky getting 7 sellers cancelling transactions

From what you say you asked about combined p+p AFTER you bid.

That was not a good thing to do and what happened after was obviously foreseen.

My only adivice is to get another I.D. and use it solely for buying.

Just move on.. It happens..
