Hi
I started selling on ebay several weeks ago and have had excellent feedback but paypal still isn't letting me transfer my money to my bank account. I verified my bank acct and they have not told me any reason why they are not letting me access my money. Please does anyone know how I can sort this out? I'd ring them if I had their phone number but I cannot find one. Cheers. Ro
PayPal's phone number is in their Help pages, so I'm not sure why you can't find it. Doing a web search for 'PayPal UK phone number' also brings it up. However, getting through is extremely difficult at the moment, due to reduced staffing levels, so patience is needed.
But do you actually need to contact PayPal...? As a new seller, Paypal will put your payments received on a 21-day hold (read all about it in Ebay's Seller centre - link at foot of any page). It's a security measure, and applies to all new and ad hoc sellers. Excellent feedback has no bearing on the hold, as feedback can be left in error. The only thing that will get the hold shortened is tracking proving delivery.
If you want to speak to PayPal about the matter call their UK Customer Support Team, either on 0208 080 6500 or on 0800 358 9448. Hopefully somebody will be able to help you with your query and resolve this for you.
once the payment clears you will be able to transfer it
if you used tracking the funds will be released about three days after the tracking shows as delivered, if you didn't use tracking and the buyer leaves feedback it will be released about 4 days after the estimated delivery date,
if you didn't use tracking and the buyer doesn't leave feedback, you will have to wait 21 days.
what does it say next to the payments in your paypal account?
