Payment on hold.

Payment on hold, even though the buyer has received the item, on 12/05/2020.
Royal Mail Tracking No. Provided
Delivered 12/05/2020 Signed for by buyer.
I have proof of delivery and signature off Royal Mail website.

I have emailed Ebay, but there is no attachment facility to attache tracking confirmation.

The help centre is a joke, round in circles...

It isn't Ebay you need to contact, as it isn't Ebay who have your money. Payment goes direct from the buyer's PayPal account or card to your PayPal account, and the hold is applied there by PayPal. So it is PayPal you need to contact.

Everything you need to know about selling on Ebay, including how PayPal's payment hold works, is in the Seller Centre (link at foot of any page).

(As an aside, for future use, Ebay has no email Customer Service. It's phone or Live Chat only.)

Hi thanks for getting back to me, but Ebay *has* put a hold on the payment, I contacted PayPal to verify this.

Ebay instigate the hold, but PayPal apply it as it is PayPal who is the payment processor. That is why you need to contact PayPal to get the 21-day hold released sooner than the 21 days. If you don't contact them with proof of delivery, the hold will be auto-released after 21 days. You can read all about the hold and how it works in Ebay's Seller Centre (link at foot of any page).

bulldog you are correct that if eBay ask Paypal to place the hold,Paypal wont release it until eBay say so.
You need to add the tracking number to both ebay and paypal then use ebay live chat or phone as advised by rusticye to get payment released.

Thanks Stephen, call backis down due to covid19, and chat is pretty much an automated bot telling me to look in "help section"
