How can it be right and fair, that 'PHOTOS' of the new Platatation 5 are listed on ebay?
One of these listings has SIX bids all from the same bidder & all within 20 minutes, and is currently up to £270!
This is a 'RIPOFF' waiting to happen for some unsuspecting parent/grandparant looking for a Christmas gift, as they may not read the listing properly!
Ebay should be watching this kind of thing really carefully as its really just not on!!
Sellers can use Ebay Catalogue pictures, and 6 bids from the same buyer will not move the item price until someone else bids.
While it could be a scam, buyers have the Money Back Guarantee if they bother to read it, it is usually a means of trying to deter other bidders. There is very little point in bidding many times.
If there are other bidders then they are probably Automated Bids.
You should not be so quick to call "SCAM" when it is more likely something you do not understand.
Please don't get into a tiz.
The auction you identified is now sitting at £15,300. The reason for this ridiculously high price is due to auction wreckers so these sales are never going to take place.
As I speak, there are currently 125 listing for PS5 photos, the highest is currently sitting at £40,000 which finishes tonight. If all sell, and are paid for, every buyer will get their money back providing they follow the correct procedure.
Just to put a smile on your face, there are ways that can end up with the sellers paying £250 for trying to 'scam'.
Update. Even during the writing of this post, the seller has ended his auction, He may now have a £250 eBay selling fee to pay.
