NO EAN BOX on Ebay Listing Form

Sunday Night here 11-00 pm 28-12-20, tonight I wasted over an hour because my new listings were rejected because I had not added an EAN number, so without much success, I hunted high and low on the EBAY LISTING PAGE and there was no reference to an EAN box, so I did a Google search along the lines of "On eBay listing form where is the EAN box situated," not much joy there, other than someone said when you find it put DNA - does not apply. Back to the form I go for the 4th times and guess what there is no EAN BOX, but there is an SKU BOX, CLICK ON THAT and half-way down the page there is well hidden the EAN BOX.

You'd think Ebay Dublin would act on this, but my Google search had old posts from 2016, asking where is it, and no actions been taken. Does everyone think the EAN BOX should be scrapped?

Try this next time you go to list an item,  after selecting Sell, go to the top right of the page, and select the business / advanced listing tool. Ignore that it says it’s for business and high volume sellers only, it isn’t, it’s for everyone to use, it will give you more control over your listing, you will only need to fill in the starred,  manadatory item specific boxes,  skip the others or just enter N/A into them to  proceed further with your listing.

Use a desktop browser and not the app to manage this.

TressyGirl, thank you. I really am so grateful, 1001 thanks. Guess what; "I have never noticed the advanced business listing tool". Will this I hope, assist me listing 3 items,x 3 sizes x with 3 prices in the same advert, buyers to click on preferred choice and order. Can you tell me how to list one repeat for 250 future buyers, I keep doing the one-offs inserts so when it sells the listing closes and I have to relist by using 'Sell a Similar item again and again. Eventually, I get browned off and stop even though it's a strong selling item. I really need a Professional Lister, someone who can deal with the nonsense of a page with no EAN box, but they want £10/12 an hour, and bang goes £300 per week, with the headache of contacts and phone calls and staff diplomacy. Another problem is Covid-19, I wonder how many people won't use ebay because they fear virus contaminated goods, and collectors. On one collection the goods were in the drive to pick up. Thank you.

If you have more than one identical item to sell then use the quantity box on your listing, to show the number available.

This will allow your buyers to buy the number they need, and the quantity box number just reduces in number to show how many are left for sale.

Looking at your listings in P&P section you put FREE P&P, but in description:

Delivery is free of charge in areas local to us such as Leeds, York, Harrogate, Halifax, Huddersfield and Bradford. For more distant locations the services of a courier are required with the corresponding courier’s fee to be paid to the delivery driver (and not ourselves) Our warehouse manager will arrange courier delivery for you.

You can't list like that, buyers will be entitled to free delivery ALL OVER UK,
best to list as "Courier" then opt for "contact seller for prices"

(@ Tobiasd4) A well-deserved thank you- thank you. We have serious problems with finding a good courier and even worse problems with buyers acceptance of reasonable courier fees. We cannot get it over to them that some of our goods do cost £600, so paying £150 + plus the delivery fee is still a good deal. The answer is to bump up the price £100.00, and offer free delivery. But this then becomes a foolium-hoolium deal which to me underhand even though it works. We will have to do this to increase sales. Once more thank you.

I understand the problem,especially if sending to Highlands & Islands, but buyers see FREEPOST & ebay will back them up,
which is why better to not quote courier cost on listing, but request buyers contact you.
