Multi listing gallery default picture glitch

How to fix "Multi listing gallery default picture glitch" Listings search showing the first (or psoosibly random/most selcted) item of variation instead of the default image.

A few of my listings are doing this and it's not good. I've googled it and it seemed to of happened back in 2015 too, not sure if it got fixed. The issue seems to happen if I update the listing in some way. I tried deleting pictures and reuploading some and the listing simply switched to the first original variation image still in the listing. The only fix seems to be to start a fresh new listing, new images.

All my listing are effected. I have reported this to Concierge Customer Services last week. All I was told they are aware of the issue and their technical are working on the problem.

It is very annoying not having a gallery picture showing. I spend ages producing these to show most of the items in the multi variation listing. But all that shows now is the picture of 1st variation. The gallery picture shows when viewing listing. As a result my sales are now down by about 75% on this time last week before this happened.

I will ring them again in morning to get an update.

Hopefully it's fixed soon. I can imagine many people are losing sales over this... buyers wont realise it's actually happened.

yep that's very common recently you have to keep trying till you get your call back promised for 45mins but it can take 1.5 hours or even never..

I have just spoken to eBay CS. They are aware of this ongoing issue. A number of other sellers have contacted them regarding this issue that effects muliti-variation listings.

Great news. Just spoken to eBay. At last I have been given a provisional fix date of July 5th. Loads of people have been phoning in reference this fault. Please keep phoning in. The more that phone in the greater the priority is given to fix.

YIPEE. Gallery pictures are back this morning.
