So, I have 2 accounts and one has converted over to MP already.
I understand that buyer now have many more options in terms of payment methods and how the dispersments work to your bank account,
My questions are:
1- With Paypal still down as a payment option, do ebay still take their new, higher percentage and Paypal also take thier cut when this payment option is chosen by the buyer?
1a- I guess when a buyer pays via paypal, the funds remain in the PP account rather than being dispursed as its just the other payment methods which trigger the dispursement?
2- It looks like ebay now take thier fees before passing the remaining funds on to the seller rather than an acumulating invoice which needs to be paid each month?
2a- Does this also mean that shop-fees will also be taken from any cleared funds rather than an invoice?
3- Is there anywhere on the on "my eBay" which tells me which payment option the buyer chose? Not that I really need to know, just wondered if it was available.
Im pretty comfortable with the new system, I'm just unsure on a few things.
Cheers.
Answer:
1- Paypal has no involvement between you and the buyer, ebay take their fee there is no paypal fee to pay.
1a- As above, the funds don't go in to your Paypal account, they are paid to ebay who then pay into your bank account in the period you selected.
2- eBay only take the final sale fee before passing the remainder on,all other fees, listing, upgrades, shop fees etc are still taken from your existing payment method.
2a- see above, you will get a monthly invoice for these fees
3- No,you wont know which method the buyer chose
Under MP, doesn't matter how buyer pays, ebay deal with payment & deduct FVF before sending to your bank, no paypal fees at all.
Ebay will invoice you monthly for any listing/subscription fees.
There's no need to be unsure. Ebay have provided full information on how MP works (and it is very simple). You can find it in the Seller Centre, and in the Help pages with their integral search. 🙂
