Managed Payments

Can anyone please enlighten me???

I've just changed over to managed payments but still owe eBay £69 fees from last month (due to be taken out 16th Dec) for an Xbox I sold for my son. I've just sold a jumper(the first sale since I went to managed payments) for £25 after fees have been taken off and the payment now says completed but it doesn't show in my bank....the transaction shows as "amount in your eBay account" does this mean eBay are holding it to take off the amount I owe them so my invoice for Dec will be £44 ??? I'm totally confused....any advice or explaination would be appreciated, I thought the payment went straight into my bank account.....thanks to anyone who can help!!

Payments go into your Ebay account, and from there into your linked bank acccount (minus Ebay's fees).

Everything you need to know about Managed Payments is in the Seller Centre, and in the Help pages with their integral search.

I seem to have been put on managed payments. I’ve been having a wardrobe clearance for about 5 to 6 months after losing weight. I had a lot of clothes and shoes. Now it looks like I’m being classed as a business when I’m not. I’ve sold two items since I’ve been moved over, and I’m waiting for the money to go into my bank but I’m still expected to send the items. What if the money doesn’t hit my bank account I’m out of pocket. Anybody know if I can go back onto normal PayPal payments and not be on managed payments?

The payment will be 'pending' for up to 24 hours and will eventually land in your bank account depending on how you've set up settlements.  Go to the 'payments' tab on seller hub, it should clarify from there.

the money you owe for the previous sale will be invoiced at the end of the month

the money for the sale you have just made will be held by ebay for a few days and will then be paid into your bank account minus the final value/processing fee

to see the state of play go to the seller hub and click on the payments tab
