I've been looking on Ebay for the new Modern Warfare game for Xbox One. In doing so I've come across lots of people effectively selling access to console accounts which then send you a username and password once you purchase "the game" that they don't own.
I have reported many of these to Ebay, but they don't do anything about it. Its like for Ebay its perfectly acceptable to purchase one game and then sell multiple copies of it via account sales.
Surely this is illegal? Both Ebay and these criminals are financially benefiting by effectively openly selling pirated copies of console games.
Looking into this in more depth it appears organised crime use this method to launder funds from stolen credit cards, so you'd think Ebay would be keen to knock this on the head. But no, Ebay does not seem bothered.
