If I list items at FIXED PRICE rather than auction, will I have to pay any extra?

Hi!  Looking for a definitive answer.  I have always listed items as AUCTION, but now want to try out FIXED PRICE.  Will I have to pay any extra for this?  I know that if I list as auction and add BUY IT NOW it costs 50p more, but if I just list as FIXED PRICE without the auction, will I be charge any extra? Thanks in advance!

You have 50 listings as BIN (Fixed price) so not new to you.

As long as you are within your 1000 monthly free list allowance makes no difference if Auction or BIN.

Everything you need to know about selling on Ebay, including what the fees are, is in the Seller Centre and in the Help pages. You've been an ebayer for almost 16 years, so I'm surprised you don't know where to look for definitive information.  But if you're asking here because you're not seeing those links (which you should be seeing in your seller hub, and at the top or foot of any page) what browser are you using...?  If IE, note that it hasn't been compatible with any website for some time, so you need to replace it.  I use Firefox without issue.

It's just that I nearly always did auctions, because I thought that it would cost me 50p to list an item as buy it now fixed price, and if it didn't sell I'd be out of pocket and end up with a ton of 50p charges at the end of the month .... I'm listing my Ladybird book collection- mostly around the £1 mark - so want to be sure I won't be charged 35p or 50p for listing them even if they don't sell.

You only get charged 50p if adding BIN to auction.
As I replied to you, you already have 53 Fixed price items listed, as long as within monthly allowance, no listing fee.
