After buying and selling for a number of years on E-bay, and most of the time being quick to leave feedback, i have now got to the point where i will wait for a seller to leave me feedback before i leave any for them.
This decision comes after the annoyance of leaving feedback and receiving non.
For all you sellers out there who leave non, the reason for leaving feedback is for buyers to browse through and gain a little knowledge of how resposable and trustworthy you are on E-bay and also the quality of your items and your selling habits.
Buyers , like me , check feedback before puschasing items from sellers, so , not to leave feedback, is like kicking yourself in the teeth,
especially for sellers who sell items constantly as a business.
Personaly i have no time for people who only think of their sales and can't be bothered to say thank you to the buyers .
You'd wait a very long time for my feedback, then! I'm a business seller on another account, and never leave feedback for a buyer until they've left it for me. I'm hardly going to give a buyer feedback when they could turn out to be the buyer from hell. Not to mention that feedback is not there to thank a buyer for paying - that's what buyers are supposed to do.
Also, bear in mind that buyers can only receive positive feedback or none at all, which is why many sellers no longer bother. Every single buyer has 100% positive feedback, even the buyer from hell, rendering feedback for buyers totally pointless. Why Ebay hasn't scrapped it by now is a mystery.
I can only say that if you sold regularly and followed your own methods of leaving feedback, I would like to know what you would do when one of these wonderful buyers, turned into the buyer from hell, making false claims and returning a wrecked item for which you had to pay return postage and make a full refund.
You can't change the feedback saying what a wonderfu buyer they are because they paid. That is what they are supposed to do.
If you read on here regularly you would find that the above is not a unique happening, it happens all the time.
I totally and emphatically disagree with what you have posted...
adding to what have already been said..." buyers like me check feedback before purchasing items from sellers? Really? Considering sellers can only leave positive or non at all..so to give buyers a pat on the back for paying is about all the feedback can tell you what a seller is like...
what you need to look at is the feedback that other buyers have left...if they are satisfied with the service they have been given especially how they have dealt with any problems ( if any)...IMO that tells you all you want to know if the seller is worth Trading With
i have 2 accounts on eBay and always recognised their custom when dispatching the item, so it is not a question of not being bothered or plastering your appreciation on feedback, it is just the way some sellers like to do it...
have you heard of BBL?
Feedback is voluntary, so no one has to leave any.
As buyers can only receive positive feedback, all seller can say is "buyer paid" which is what they should do.
Most sellers will wait until buyers leave feedback incase they turn out to be buyer from hell.
