I need to change a item description but i cant edit, so will have to cancel item with bids?

you can't change a description once you have received bids,

if there is longer than twelve hours to go you can cancel the bids and end the listing,

you will be charged 10% of the highest bid if you do this,

writing this in your description won't protect you:-

Bids received after the time of my description revision above (29/1/21 at 21:15:24) will have seen and therefore accepted the information in this revision.

people put things in their watch lists and then bid without re-reading the listing

you need to cancel all the bids and end the listing

Hence wanting to make this omission clear, so I could get everyone to retract their bids, I did not know there weren't waterproof when I listed, as they were not mine, I was selling for a friend. I only popped them in water when a buyer posed the question. I have now cancelled the listing.

Putting comments like that in a listing is inviting cases of "Not As Described" being opened which you would lose. What with having to pay for return postage and paypal fees this would be an expensive experience for you and coupled with Bad Feedback would not do your selling any good. Your only choice is to end early and pay the selling fee, based on the highest bid.

I've added to the description, but I dont think bidders are reading properly, how do I find the ebay call back facility please, they've helped resolve issues in the past...

you need to use the drop down menu next to the item and end the listing after cancelling the bids

Thanks listing ended. I didn’t realise the wellies were not waterproof until after listing, I was selling them for a friend. Obviously I’d not have listed them had I known.
