I have just sold a piece of jewellery to someone who has three negative feedback.

As I haven't sold an expensive item by distance selling before, I am worried that this buyer, who may be Ok, but has three negative feedback. What if he says he hasn't received it it or package was empty????

What should I do? I'll be grateful for any advise. Thank you.

Only sellers can have negatives, so that does not relate to buying.Look at feedback as a buyer and feedback left for others, that will tell you more about the buyer.

I can't see that you have sold anything expensive, but you do have a £50 bid on an item listed. Jewellery MUST be sent by Special Delivery, proof of delivery is essential, however if the buyer claims that there was only a bar of soap or something else in the package you are stuck.

Ebay will support a claim of Item Not As Described and you would have to refund. This is one of the many risks of selling on ebay now, and is a very good reason for not risking expensive items on ebay.

If it is the item that is still live, then you could cancel the bid, but would still likely to be charged a selling fee.
