I am selling a two piece sofa and may possibly split and sell separately. How do I do this?

I have been asked if I will sell my sofa's seperately. If I agree, how do I do this? also if we agree a price for the one sofa, can I keep my original ad but with the remaining sofa?

As you're having to start again, my advice is to list them on Gumtree, Ebay's sister site, so that a buyer doesn't have the option of paying with PayPal. PayPal isn't safe for sellers of collection items - because there will be no proof posting to the buyer's registered address in the event of an Unauthorised Account Use claim. This is the only thing a payment processor will accept fo such a claim - signed invoices etc aren't accepted as these are too easily forged. Collection items should only be paid for in cash (or by bank transfer), once the buyer has fully examined the item and is happy with it. This is safer for the buyer too.

If you agree to sell them separately you would need to revise the listing you have to reflect the fact that it is just for one sofa including the price and the buyer can then click on Buy It Now.

The listing would then go into the sold section of My Ebay and you relist it to sell the 2nd sofa.

you need to start again and list them separately
