Item I sent has arived in a damaged state. Buyer sent a photo and the damage is obvious. I have said I will refund cost and asked that he return the item at my expense but I don't know how I make the refund payment .Please help.
Buyer opens ebay case for not as described, you issue returns label through case,
only refund once item is returned.
You can then claim from carrier for damage.
I see you use Royal Mail, you can use your Proof of Postage to make a claim for damage.
If the damage makes the item valueless, you do not have to pay for return but can just refund THROUGH THE CASE. That gets your selling fee refunded.
However if able to claim on RM ask the buyer to keep the damaged item and packaging as RM might wish to examine it.
If you should ever use a Courtier first check their T & C as most do not cover damage, as they do not cover anything that is breakable.
