How do I finish an item early?I already have a bid, which has removed the Buy it Now ability.

I have a bid on an item I'm selling, which has removed the Buy it Now.

Another buyer wants to buy at the old Buy it Now price, how do I sell at the Buy it Now price?

Thank

Mark

You can't, Mark. The BIN option disappears the second you receive a bid, obviously, or there would be no point to an auction, and it would be totally unfair to the person who's placed the bid. Just tell the enquirer he will have to bid along with everyone else. Most bids arrive in the last few minutes, so you'll likely receive one that's higher than your BIN, something the enquirer may well be aware of.

But if you're intent on selling to the enquirer, end the listing and relist with BIN only. You'll be charged a selling fee based on the highest bid, though - Ebay doesn't like this practice as it upsets bidders. Bear in mind too that there is no guarantee the enquirer will buy once you've relisted.

You pay for a BIN option added to auction, by the way, whether it's used to buy your item not, so it's always best to start your auctions at the minimum price you're happy to accept.
