Hi,
I am a private seller and I am away on holiday for two weeks. How do I notify potential buyers before they buy?
Many thanks in advance
Kev
In addition to the advice you have already been given, there may be another option that you could consider with regards to your listings, although it very much depends on having somebody who is willing to help you.
If you have a member of your family or a close friend who you feel could be trusted to look after your account on your behalf during your absence, ensuring that any sold items are despatched within your stated despatch times, then ask him/her if he/she would be willing to cover for you until you return from your holiday. If the person you asked for help agrees to monitor your account during your absence then you can leave your listings live and let your assistant help you out until you get back, in which case you would not need to remove your listings from the site. If, on the other hand, you do not have anybody who would be willing to help you as I described in this reply then the best option would be to end all of your listings and then relist them again once you return.
You can only do that if you have a shop.
As you don't you would have to end all listings and relist them when you return or leave them live and hope nobody buys as if they do you may return to claims of non receipt and a trashed account.
