Help needed with return case!

Recently sold an antique silver brooch, the buyer has cleaned it incorrectly and damaged it. She has opened a return case. After me telling her she's damaged it and im not prepared to issue a refund, she has decided to return the brooch and now wants to 'forget the whole thing'.

What do I need to do now? I have emailed ebay with all the details. Will they just automatically refund her? Does she need to close the case from her end?

Can't get ebay on the phone so need help please guys!

If she escalates the case and you haven't issued a returns label, ebay may issue one and charge you or they may refund and tell her to keep the item.  There is no automatic system for her to return it and forget the whole thing, which seems an odd thing to do and say if by it she means no refund.

You are only safe from having to refund if she closes the case and doesn't escalate it.
