Formal Complaint

Hi everyone,

I have phoned E Bay Customer Service and they still haven't sorted out a simple matter when someone won an auction and just didn't pas anyone know how to make a formal complaint?

The entire system is automated (it has to be on a site with many millions of members), so you don't contact Ebay when a buyer doesn't pay. You use the on-site tools that Ebay supplies, ie. you open an Unpaid Item case (within 32 days of the purchase date), and close it as 'unpaid' after 4 full days to get the selling fee credited back to your Ebay account.   You're then free to relist.

Add the non-payer's Ebay ID to your Blocked Bidders List. And while you're there, tighten up your Buyer Requirements (Account...Site Preferences...) to lower the risk of getting non-payers and other rogue buyers in the first place. Pay particular attention to the one which blocks those with 2+ Unpaid Item strikes in 12 months.

Finally, everything you need to know about selling on Ebay, including what to do when a buyer doesn't pay, is in the Seller Centre. There's even a section there especially for new and inexperienced sellers.
