Final value fee

have recently received my monthly invoice and discovered a final value fee of £15.00 as there was one bidder who placed a bid of £150.00.  The item was ended early as it was part of a collection of a lady who has gone into care and part of her house contaenets that were to be disposed of. However it was discovered she had left this item to a beneficiaier after her death as such it had to be removed. There is no way that Ebay has placed on its Auction ending guidance which covers this eventuality so i had to place the item had been priced incorrectly.

These are unique circumstances outside of my control and i would ask that this be reconsidered and the charges removed from my account. David grummitt. (Dave93)

We are members like you, there are no ebay staff here.

You would have to ask ebay, you used their facilities to list and find a buyer so I would not expect them to make any exceptions. Ebay do not like unhappy buyers.

I'm sorry but ending an item early whilst there are bids will always end in the seller paying full final value fees.

It doesn't matter what the reasons are.

I doubt very much that speaking to ebay about it will change anything. Sorry.

you cancelled a bid and ended the listing,

it doesn't matter why you did this,

ebay always charge 10% of the cancel bid they don't waive these fees.

you should have made sure the item was yours to sell before you listed it.
