Hi,
im new to selling on eBay. I have sold 2 items for a total of approx £61. What I am trying to u deratand is why I have been charged £27 worth of fees. Is this to do with using PayPal??
No - you sold a camera for £200 as well. That would be £20 on its own. If you did not get paid then the fee is still due unless you open a "non-payer" case in the resolution centre [link below] and closed the case after 4 full days. You will then get a fee credit.
Clicking on your invoice will tell you exactly what each charge is for. And Ebay's invoices are never wrong. But if you're still confused, everything you need to know about selling on Ebay, including what the fees are, is in the Seller Centre. There even a section there especially for new sellers.
PayPal's payment processing fees are charged by PayPal, and taken at the time the buyer's payment reaches your PayPal account. They have nothing at all to do with Ebay.
