EBAY CHARGING YOU FEES FOR CANCELLING A ORDER THAT WASNT YOUR FAULT

I think ebay are being very unfair with their fees, I sold a item and the buyer emailed me to send it to a different address, I didnt know what to do so I asked ebay what to do she said cancel the sell because your not covered if something goes wrong she said I would get all my final value fees back, this didnt happen by listening to ebay Ive lost money.

I then phoned ebay the next day and spoke to sam who said SHE HAD GOT PERMISSION to refund all my fees and said the account would update overnight it didnt. so I Chatted with ebay again this time spoke to shaun who said it was guarenteed and would be in my payout tomorrow morning this didnt happen either, so I called today and spoke to managed payments that are requesting the payment but had to go higher still no joy and getting fed up of being messed about, i RATHER go back through paypal as ebay fees are unreasonable, I even considered cancelling my account I have had since 2004 and sell my stuff elsewhere.

not a happy bunny at the moment.

Anyone got any ideas?

my advice to you all never cancel a transaction you will be charged a fixed final value fee. very unfair as ebay had told me to cancel and lied about getting all my fees back

Ebay CS when answering questions assume wrongly that sellers know what they are doing.

If you had asked on here you would have been told HOW to cancel and get a refund of selling fees.

If you cancelled the Ebay transaction using 'Problem with buyer's address' (or however it's worded), as you should have done, your selling fee would be automatically credited back to your Ebay account.  If it isn't there, you must have chosen the wrong reason for the cancellation.

if you had chosen problem with buyers address as the reason for the cancellation you would have got your final value fees refunded,

what reason did you choose when you cancelled?
