Click & Collect only offered when there is a selling history in the last 60 days?

Hi everyone,

I've just been advised by chat help that Click & Collect is available only when there is a successful sale in my selling history on my account within the last 60 days - and that when I sell something, the Click & Collect option will then be automatically added to future listings but only from 2 months of this date.

e.g. - I sell an item with no Click & Collect function available on 07.01.2021

Then, Click & Collect function becomes available on my listings from 07.03.2021 onwards.

Can someone support this advice as I can't find reference to it anywhere and it seems a bit bizarre.

You don't need to contact Ebay for anything at all. Absolutely everything you need to know about selling here, including how Click & Collect works, is in the Seller Centre.  Ebay's CS is in The Philippines, and unless your query is covered in their phone scripts and fully understood, you risk receiving the wrong advice or information, as on this particular occasion.  So, in future, use the full on-site information Ebay has supplied for you.

Click & Collect has been hit and miss for the last 10 months due to the pandemic, as so many stores have either had to shut completely, or have had to at least close down their Click & Collection points, and all with very little notice.  So my advice, if you value your account and your sanity, is to forget about it until things are back to normal.

Thank you for your advice - it just seems bizarre that the same item up for auction from other sellers has the Click & Collect option but my listing doesn't. I suppose the algorithm for Click & Collect in London may be operating slightly differently at a guess. Thanks for the explanation in any case, stay safe!

Do you really want to use it?  It just adds a layer of potential screwups to the sale.  There are loads of examples of parcels going missing, ebay not sending the buyer their code, buyers not collecting. 

If you don't you can opt out in your selling preferences.
