As non essential travel is forbidden at the present time advertising anything at all that requires the buyer to travel to collect seems a bit silly..

If you do decide to sell your car on eBay the best option would be to list it as a Classified listing.  Unlike Auction or Buy It Now listings a seller can include his/her contact number in the item description without running the risk of being accused by eBay of attempting to set up an off-eBay deal, in which case potential buyers can contact you to discuss arranging a suitable date and time to come and view the car.  If you do get a buyer who definitely wants to buy the car then insist on payment via cash or bank transfer.

Should you decide to list you car for sale on eBay and choose to follow the advice I gave in the first paragraph of this reply then you can leave the listing up for as long as necessary, and once the car sells and you have informed the DVLA that you are no longer the registered keeper of the vehicle all you need to do is end the listing so that you don't keep on receiving phone calls from people interested in buying the car when you're no longer the registered keeper of the vehicle.

yes private sellers are allowed to sell their cars through ebay
