Buyer is requesting a partial refund and I think hes trying to scam me

Hi, I'm a fairly new seller, in a bit of a situation and in need of advice

I sold a psp + bundle a few days back, the psp had one fault i could find when testing and that was it couldn't read discs, which I made sure was clearly there in my listing title and description

Ebay gave me 2 days to post the item which i couldn't post it on the first day after the sale however he messaged chasing it up anyway to which I said I was fully intent on posting it on the second day.

Hes messaged me now claiming everythings there and works but the speaker is "buzzing" and the anolog stick is "slow".

I never noticed any of these issues when testing. Hes immediantly asking for a partial refund on the item without any discussion which obviously I'm not happy about XD

I replied pretty much straight away stating I never noticed any of these issues and suggested potetially cleaning out the speaker holes and analog stick slot and haven't heard back but I'm just worried he might be trying to get some of his cash back to profit on the item (which I don't understand why since it sold very cheap for the usual price the item goes for plus the extras I bundled in)  With the nick picks, abrupt messaging and fact his account was made last month with very little feedback is just sending off red flags in my mind.

I haven't yet received anything back and my message sent this afternoon. I'm not sure whats the best route to go down should he respond pushing a partial refund again. I've asked some mates and they're saying to offer a full refund in return for the item which i think is most sensible but what do I do if he returns the item and its missing its extras or has been purposely damaged more or dosen't respond till its close to 30 days after purchase and slams me with a refund case and leaves me negative feeback on my profile? Do I contact Ebay? Forgive me if I'm asking really dumb question, still very new to this

Thank you in advance for you advice!

You have to Accept that there are risks to Selling on here. However your Mates are right if you hear from him again offer a Return through an EBay Case. DON'T make the mistake of letting him just return it to you it has to be done through Ebay. Accept the Return within 3 Business Days. Generate the Returns Label through the Case. Fully Refund when you get the Bundle back. That will protect your Account. Your EBay Final Value Fees will be Credited back to your Seller Account. Ebay would probably Remove any Negative Feedback because you had done everything you are required to do.

If he doesn't Return the Items in the same condition you sent them in You can Appeal to Ebay. You probably wouldn't get anywhere but you can try.

Don't give him a Partial Refund. That is just an excuse for getting a Discount.
