Hi everyone! 🙂 I have the fallowing situation: Buyer staright away after purchase messaged me and asked to change delivery address. I asked do he has that address registered as an additional address on buyer account. Answer was yes. Then I asked buyer to provide screenshot of eBay settings address tab. After some time buyer send me screenshot. Everything seems ok. But the thing is with enough photoshop skills its possible very fast craft that picture. Do this could be a scam? Anyway soon will bee collection so I will send to that address. Thanks
Only send to PayPal address provided as you are not covered by eBay and PayPal buyer protection. Problem is anyone can add any address to there account they don't need to live there. You could add 10 downing street Buckingham palace the white house. If sent you will be covered unless returned. Best to cancel using address problem and ask to order again.
I can't see that you have sold anything of great value, while you should not accept any change to the address it is not likely to be a scammer.
If buyer has not paid he can amend address on paypal when paying.
If they have paid, and you cancel and ask them to buy again, the expense would be high in relation to value. Paypal fee at 2.9% + 30p while not much on a say £2 item and bearing in mind the fees would be repeated if sold again would come to about 80p or more.
Paypal no longer refunds any fee.
