I think you are being VERY over optimistic in thinking you could ever list 200 books an hour. Each book is a seperate item and even using Templates or List Similar, there is a lot of details that would need amending each time.

I think if doing a good job you would find 6 an hour more practical, including photographs or scans.

Only if you were doing IDENTICAL BOOKs, which is not allowed, would you be able to speed up the process.

One way to make things easier for yourself would be to use the Advanced Selling Form, sometimes referred to as the Business Selling Form.  Anybody can use it, regardless of whether they're a private seller or a business seller, and one of the benefits of using the Advanced Selling Form over the bog standard equivalent is that unlike the bog standard selling form, eBay will not butt in and change various aspects of the listing without your consent.

OK, so let's turn our attention to the matter of creating your listings.  First of all create a listing using the Advanced Selling Form, making sure that you fill in as many item specifics as possible.  A lot of sellers use library photos when listing books but this can be misleading, especially when the book you have differs from the picture in some way - for example, if the library photo shows a brand new book and you're selling a second-hand book with some wear and tear/damage, or if you're selling a different edition of the book to that shown in the library photo.  Therefore, avoid using library photos and use your own photos to show a potential buyer exactly what they'll be receiving should they decide to purchase the item.

Once you've done that write up a decent item description that will get the buyer interested in the item.  I often buy books on eBay, and if there's one thing that'll put me off of buying the book it's the absence of a synopsis (the description often found on the rear cover of the book describing in brief the story that the book is telling).  Make sure you include that and you may well end up with more buyers, as the aim is to get the buyer as interested as possible.  Add the postage options to the listing, including an international postage option if you want to sell to overseas buyers as well and then check the listing in its entirety before you submit the listing.

When you submit the first listing save it as a template so that you can re-use it again when necessary.  That way, when you list any more books all you need to do is call up the template you created using the first listing and half of the work is already done for you, as you will have filled in all the details when you made the first listing.  Delete the original shots and replace them with the photos of the latest book being listed, then replace the original item description with one specifically written for that book.  If you've included anything in the item specifics that will vary with each listing, such as the ISBN (Internation Standard Book Number) then make sure that you change this on every listing.  Anything that doesn't need to be changed can just stay the same, as it will already be filled in from when you made the original listing.

Finally, one other tip that will help to speed things up a bit when you're coming to list the books would be to type up the item descriptions on a Microsoft Word document before you list the books for sale, making sure that you give each item description a separate title so as to avoid getting mixed up.  When you come to list the books for sale add the photos in the manner described earlier, then delete the item description from the saved template and copy the item description from the Microsoft Word document that relates to that book into the Item Description field.  If you list the books that way you'll save yourself a hell of a lot of time, and if you're really particular about how you want to list the items you could even have two separate templates for selling books - one for hardback books and one for paperback books with the word "Hardback" or "Paperback" somewhere in the item title on each template.

Good luck with your selling on eBay, and if you get stuck with anything and need any further advice come back here and post another query and somebody will be able to offer you some advice.
