Account restricted due to linked with another account

My account has been restricted as Ebay says it is linked to another account, which I have nothing to do with. They have reduced my seller limit to 0. I have some good listings which are dropping of and not renewing. 

I know the person who has the account as we work in the same office, but I have nothing to do with it.

Ebay won't tell me what the connection is despite asking and keep giving me the same answer, "we cannot remove the restriction on you account, until the issue on the other account are resolved".

Despite them saying I am connect to the other account, they won't tell me what the issue is on the other account is, which I don't understand. I am either connected with that account, in which case they should tell me what the issue is, or I am not (which is the case) and remove the restriction. They cannot have it both ways.

It is so frustrating that I am being punished for issues on an account that has nothing to do with me. 

Has anyone else had this issue and how did they get it resolved?

if you work in the same office I expect you have both logged onto ebay using the office IP address,

that is enough of a conection for ebay to ban both of you if his account got into trouble,

I cannot believe that would be enough without some sort of investigation. It is crazy. It is like being arrested for robbery because you happened to have visited the same bank.

You need to talk to the person whose account is in trouble and see if they can fix it.

At least if was something I'd done I'd have a better chance of sorting this out. It is so frustrating and Ebay seem so unresonable. Surely than can see I have nothing to do with the other account.

how can they 'see' that?


all they can 'see' is you use the same internet connection and when someone using the same internet connection as you is banned, everyone who uses the same connection get banned,

it is to stop the banned person using the other accounts,


that is why you should never use ebay at work!
