A lot of 1806/7 Half Penny coins are being sold as a penny as they are similar size 28.7mm Diameter

Can all sellers who are selling 1806/1807 copper coins ensure they are selling the correct coin.

The half penny is a similar size to the penny and many sellers are mis-selling the coins as they have the wrong description.

Half penny coins are 28.7mm diameter and just under 2mm thick, whereas the penny is 34mm diameter and 3mm thick.

It's unlikely that any coin sellers will see your posting here.

This is eBay. Sellers often don't know much about the items they're selling - plus, of course, there are some who will knowingly misdescribe items. When buying from strangers online buyers need to do their own research.

If an item is not as described, the buyer can use eBay's money back guarantee to get a full refund, including the postage both ways.

This is the Answer Centre, for buyers and sellers to ask questions that require urgent answers. Post in Seller Central in the Discussion forums, or, better still, contact the sellers of these misdescribed coins direct from the listing/s, as the chances of them seeing your post are pretty much zero. Sellers (and buyers) only come to these boards when they need help or advice, or to let off steam.
