Hi,
So ever since Simple Delivery was introduced, I've been having problems with shipping labels for larger items outside Royal Mails 61 x 46 x 46 cm. Basically, Simple Delivery never gives me options for Parcelforce and eBay always goes to it instead of custom delivery so to get around the problem, I've simply purchased a Parcelforce label on their site. Then I would
But recently I sold an item and got a second Parcelforce label I know this question has been asked before, but none of the steps to find the add/edit tracking number have worked. There's simply no option to do it in Orders dropdown menu or the track package window. I have tried on both my desktop with Google Chrome and the iOS app. Still no luck. I've also read that it's simply not possible to change the tracking number on Simple Delivery even though it worked on two deliveries from a month ago (although I'm unsure if those were Simple Delivery or custom shipping).
What I've had to do now is message the buyer with the new tracking number and that was after dropping off the parcel at the post office (I only realised the issue at that point). However, as far as eBay is concerned, the original Simple Delivery label is attached to the parcel, has not been scanned by the post office and I have no way to update that information.
At this point, I think my only solution is to reach out to someone at eBay so they can manually update the number. I've read that this forum is usually the better place to do that over customer service.
Appreciate any help.

eBay have removed the option of changing tracking number so all we can do is message buyers with the new number. Should they open a "not received" case you would be able to put the new number into that. You can open the original SD label to mark the item as dispatched. If buyer paid for the unused label the cost will be refunded to them in 30 days. Payment may be held for 14 days.

Thanks for the help. Can I just ask where to go to open the original SD label for marking it as dispatched?

Next to the item on your orders list click on Get prepaid label > Get prepaid label and QR code. You will also see the buyer's address there.
If you have problems selling extra large items you could list with free postage and factor that cost into your item price. Then if necessary you would be able to claim a refund for an unused label here:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/claims/simple-delivery/refund/seller
The line about needing to be sent with a tracked service in order to receive the refund no longer applies.
