The trouble with Evri, and a lot of companies, is that so much depends on the individual staff. Some Hermes/Evri couriers with whom I have dealt have been great, most OK and a few awful. If your parcel doesn't cross paths with somebody who'll mis-handle or steal it all's well. If it happens to be delivered by somebody who'll throw it over a fence or who thinks a door-step is a "Safe place" the trouble starts.
My main beef with Evri is the difficulty in sorting things out when problems occur, and occur they will because perfection doesn't exist in the real world. Of course Evri are far from unique in that regard.
