It is very frustrating when you want to post an item that has been paid for by the buyer and you are unable to do so because you cant print the prepaid postage label because the address has an error, an error that has not been recognized in the past this need looking into

Hi alemap40, thanks for your post.
Is the label not being generated due to an error with the address, or you're unable to actually print they already generated label due to an error with the address? If you confirm the item number, we can take a further look for you no problem.
Thank you,
Marco

I had this problem but the system allowed me to edit the address using the pencil icon on the right hand side iirc
turns out the buyer had put too many words in one line , so I split the address into the unused ones
For example (imaginary address)
flat 1 , 23 brown road, Enfield, middlesex (too many characters)
tw8 xxx
became
flat 1 23 brown road
Enfield,Middlesex
tw8 xxx

The buyer has found another, person with the same problem. I have refunded her at her request, but I don't know how she get's her postage back. She has given me a natural feedback which is unfair when it wasn't my fault.Sent from my Galaxy
Try contacting Customer Services, do so when the lines for an agent open at 8 a.m. as there's more chance of Dublin answering. Explain there is a technical issue when there's an incorrect address registered by the buyer so the item could not be posted, could they please remove the neutral feedback.
If they don't, there's no harm done to your account, but I would suggest leaving a follow up feedback here, explaining it was a tech issue making this dispatch impossible not , so future buyers reading your feedback can see this was not the seller's fault.
This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/eua?id=5275&mkevt=1&mkpid
Lines open 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. on weekdays
9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on weekends.
Automated agents will be available on chat outside of the above hours.
I recommend contacting CS first thing in the morning as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

Definitely making note to myself re your answer here , how to amend an incorrectly addressed label!

Totally agree. Caught me out cus printer wasn't working and I hadn't used it for months because I was choosing how to post it and had royal mail collect it AND bring the label, not an option on this *bleep*py new system!

Thanks for your reply, alemap40.
Do you have the item number, so I can take a look? If a refund was issued in full, they should've received the full amount including postage. I will take a look anyway just in case once you confirm the item number. 👍
Thank you,
Marco

It’s how they input their address when registering
it seems to take it for that ok there, but not when transferring the data to a label
because I suppose the label can only take a certain amount of text in the width of the allotted bit lol
🤷🏼
(if that was actually the problem here)
