for business accounts is there charge for each auto-relist

hi there for business accounts if all items are set to re-list do you get charged the listing fee again.  

i assumed you got charged the listing fee once and if set to auto-relist then you get no more charges for that

i did google and it did say theres no extra fee other than for cars but someone on youtube replied to my comment saying you get charged the 36p for every auto-relist too

ebay live chat are absolutely useless also as i have asked them about this

Yes to a degree, but I can only speak from experience of having a paid for shop subscription that gives me 250 free listings a month

If I'm at that limit for listings ( I often am but downgraded from the 1500 listings sub due to not using it enough) then I get charged 12p for every auto relist (items listed as relist until sold) 

If I'm under 250 total listings I don't get charged

i am just trying to work out if its worth having a business account as i want to make to sell items or thinking about it.

i probably would not want to pay for a shop each month so just have a basic business account...more so when i would be just starting as i would struggle to find the spare....is it £27 a month for the basic shop at the moment.

with the listing fee of 36p....if i were to say have a listing for something and have quantity set at 20 would is till be charged just the one 36p insertion charge.

if so when the item auto relists will it still be 36p and not 36p for the each quantity thats left.

i am wondering if its possible that if i sell say 10 of the 20 quantity to then revise the listing and add another 10 making it 20 quantity again and not having extra charges for doing so.

ebay live chat told me business sellers can not have good till its gone or auto relisted items and said on a business account when you list a item it stays on for 30 days then if not sold ends and i have to manually relist it and be charged 36p listing fee again.

i need to work out if its worth bothering with and how much i would make when all fees are done as their fee page is not the easiest to understand.

google says business sellers get free auto-relists which seems to be false so that put a downer on it all.

It counts as a re list every 30 days so you need to keep an eye on it as if you dont have a shop it will charge 36p every 30 days.

A shop is imo worth it otherwise its probably not worth having a business account.

Say you list 250 on day 5 of your shop subscription you will have no more free listings for 30 days, you could then in theory list 250 more on the day your shop renewed and have 500 but when the first 250 hit 30 days they will refresh and you will be charged for 250. Its half the cost of listing without a shop so 18p or something. You also get 100 auctions I think per 30 days.

Business sellers don't have to manually relist every 30 days.  Unsold items will carry on but will be charged each month when they renew.  You can put multiples of the same item on a listing and it counts as one listing fee.  However you will pay final value fees etc on each sale from that listing.

Hi, if I were you I would get everything set up on a private account ready to go and then switch over. Getting all the listings ready is relentless hard work as is  running a business account and the relisting fees are crippling. It really depends on the value of the items you sell and the profit margin. Lots of low value items are hard work, lots of packing and posting and relisting will eat your profit margin very quickly.

With VAT a basic shop will cost £32.40 each month, for that you get 250 listings and 100 auctions

Subscribing to a basic shop isn't worth it unless you have 90 listings as at £0.36p each this will come to the same amount as the shop fee.

You can do that.

It will be 36p no matter what the quantity

That is wrong, All mine are good till cancelled and auto relist but you will be charged the 36p for each relist.

If you are making items to sell then you are a business and must open a business account.

If you have 20 of the same item in the one listing then you only get charged 36p every 30days,  it will auto relist at 36p so if you had 10 listing this would be £3.60 a month so it wouldn't be worth paying for the basic shop until you went over the £32.40 level of listings.

Krafty-kreations is correct and you have been given the wrong information, some of my listings have been on over a year with good till cancelled and auto relist.

Thank you very much as you can see i know nothing about nothing. And find anything yo do with fees and business hard to grasp or it takes a good while of being spoon fed the info before it sinks in 🤣

Does the auto relist come out of the free 250 listings that you get with the basic shop?

I have registered as a sole trader etc so all that is done.

I think the basic shop will be my best option then with what you say as i have maybe 150 or more different designs but they will be on various items .

Thank you, it was going to sell coasters and mugs, which the coasters are not big value as to compete id have to sell for 3.99 or max 4.29 but i would charge postage 2nd class large letter as atkeast with a business account i can charge the lower postage price and not the soon to be forced tracked price like on private accounts

Mugs maybe £7 but tracked delivery

I guess i can just trial it and see exactly how it goes as i presume ill have to trial it for a good few months so sales start to happen
