Is that really news though? Fakes being sold online is hardly a new problem. I don't think any sensible person would buy expensive branded fragrances, skincare products, anything listed as Dyson or Dewalt, and lots of other brands, from a stranger online.
As for vintage branded clothes and shoes, I would never buy anything online that cost more than a few pounds. I like to see and touch anything I would consider expensive before I commit to buy.

Must be short of news stories at the BBC - that's been going on for as long as I can remember. Trainers, handbags, bling etc.
I guess it serves as a good reminder to buyers to be careful out there.

Good old BBC - only 2-3 decades late to the party. Clothes, art, records, anything with a collectable value has been being faked forever.

True. Unfortunately, you just can't protect people from themselves, however much scams are publicised.
