Ebays software issue sent my a refund request as item not arrived, what I wanted on the request is clear & in detail. Seller is interested in refunding but ebay will not let me put in a another request& is saying issue resolved thou I did not accept any resolution as seller just sent money for postage on a item that cost $547.
my point in the return request was it arrived within 14days ago& the descsription was confusing.

You can open a case for item not as described after one for not received has been closed, as long as you are still within 30 days of receipt of the item. However it seems you may have missed that deadline.
Ebay can't help you if the 30 days has passed, if it has you will have to see if your funding source can help.

Thank you your right about closing it I wasnt sure as system is abit opaque& I dont know where to find ebay rules, they send them by messages but many dont read them& they at least used to get deleted. But I know the law& in UK & US law you have 14 days after delivery& it took 7 wks to arrive. Still I will give you kudos& this my 1st time on the community page but hopefully you can give my reply kudos as well please, it makes ebay a more pleasant platform-buying experience

Do you have a link to the UK and US law regarding 14 days delivery? I'm not aware of anything like that existing.
We don't post here for kudos, they don't make eBay a more pleasant buying experience. A kudos is just a thank you or an indication that a post contains useful information. You can't spend them on eBay.

Well thanks to Papso 22! , this forum has helped me stick with ebay for sure, thou a seems abit of pain ebay have no one to contact now, I hope their fees dont go up more. Links below you will find its the same law in the US& UK who follow many UK precedents& vice versa as well as the EU, since after WW2 the EU has followed many of our legal precedents too, thou less both ways since 2016.

I'm a little confused as to what you are asking
You say you item arrived, so you don't want a claim item not received
So, you presumably want to send the item back for a refund because it arrived too late, and you no longer want to keep it?
Is this correct?
Did you try opening a case for "item not as described"
Go to your purchase history
Find the item
Click "More Actions"
Does it give you the option for "item was not as described" or similar?
If so, this is how you open your case

The link you've posted regarding consumer rights is the right to return an item if it's faulty or not as described.
eBay offer a 30 day Money Back Guarantee if your item arrives and isn't as described, this is in addition to any consumer rights you may have.
If you fund your payment with a debit or credit card then you have 120 days to issue a not as described chargeback.
