I list a few things on ebay occasionally, but this new simple delivery is just rubbish for sellers. It assumes that ebay actually know the size and weight of items And that everyone can easily get to Evri or other courier services easily. Why did they have to stop the seller from deciding how to post items? Put me right off bothering to use Ebay.

So I sold an item freepost months ago & ebay thrust SD to me even though the DVD was exempt from SD or should have been. That's plain wrong (can't you see that?) & needs reporting to trading standards. I've already threatened to report ebay to the relevant authorities conning me out out of postage labels twice one for SD. & one for packlink who are useless for refunds by the way
So all this stupid SD thing is for ebay to make money. And it is stupid because I had a 5kg evri parcel with an SD label refused by the post office today for being 90cm long yet evri accept up to 120cm the box is also slightly too long to fit in a locker. If I could arrange postage myself on parcel2go none of this would have happened. Ebay have brought this entirely on themselves by no-longer charging fees so are trying to con people out of money. It looks as if I'll have to cancel yet another order as I cannot change the SD label & the buyer I heard having to wait 30days for a refund. I'm also a buyer and that is totally unacceptable.
Buyers must be boycotting ebay in their droves as I've only had 3 sales in last 30 days including this one.

Do not stick up for ebay they are totally in the wrong here. I wouldn't be surprised if this SD debacle wasn't programed by that geeky AI - it's that bad

Did you mention the dimensions Evri permits to the person at the Post Office?

So you ask them to do by a reason that it covers

Completely different scenario and it does sound wrong in your case (didn’t expect that did you)
but all you keep doing is coming on here saying they need reporting. Have you?

In the wrong where? I’ve given the poster I was replying to three examples of items they have sold.
I accept there may be confusion as some are simple delivery and some are not. But the 87p sale did not include simple delivery. For that sale they could have stuck a 2nd class stamp on an envelope if they wanted provided that covered the weight of the parcel.

I am yet to hear from ebay - the incompetent fools or they probably ignore the contact forms

I won't need to report ebay now
today I got the reply below from ebay CS
Hello T
Thank you for contacting eBay Customer Service regarding your issue with label cancellation. I see you opened this account 21 years ago. Thank you for your loyalty.
I was able to understand that you are reporting not receiving a refund for an unused postage label purchased on eBay for order "Jaguar badminton rackets & cover". Rest assured, I will help you out with this.
As per the details of your contact with us please know that this has been escalated from my end and the packlink team will be in contact with you in the next 3-5 business days regarding the label refunds. I hope this helps with the resolution you were looking for.
Thank you for contacting eBay Customer Service and have a brilliant day ahead.
Kind regards,
Manash D.

It used to give you a list you could choose from and now it’s gone .
I am a business seller (no simple delivery), and use eBay labels. When I enter the weight, I'm given three options and the top one is frequently Yodel.
At the bottom of the list you see a link that says something like 'See All Services'. When you click that you will see the full list of all the carriers used by PackLink and all the RM services. You can then choose the one you want.

"Simple delivery". Really? I paid for the item on 13/10/2025 and have got estimate delivery for Wed 15 Oct - Mon 20 Oct. Today 23/10/2025 is still marked in eBay as out for delivery. This is UK item not from China.

That's worse than when private sellers used to be able to pick their own custom postage...
Not really what I would call Simple
