I have been using Simple Delivery for a few weeks now and it has been going well,no complaints from me so far. Sold three separate items.to the same buyer last night and eBay issued me with what I thought was three labels (QR codes), for three parcels.
Took them to The Post Office this morning with my phone and the first one scanned alright and printed a label. When the second and third QR codes were scanned the Post Master got a message on his screen saying that this QR code has already been used and no matter how he tried he couldn't get the second and third labels printed.
In the end I gave up completely perplexed 'bit the bullet' and just paid for them out of my own pocket. Is this a fault in the system, is the problem with me or has the PM not done something that he should have?
It would be nice to know as I have another multi-purchase pending sending. Any advice would be welcome.

It sounds like it was expecting you to put all the items in one parcel. Why it gave you three codes for the same label goodness alone knows.

Good Afternoon Pill
Thank you. This is the first multi purchase sale for me under SD. It has been going swimmingly Famous last words.

Isn't it more likely that it gave you three labels for the same code?
Can you see if all three were actually all the same?

Good Afternoon 450
Thanks for your suggestion but they all have different codes.

This has happened to me on Vinted with the Post Office.
2 parcels, one buyer.
Barcodes didn’t look the same, on scanning the second one computer said no.
I do wonder if it’s a PO/label glitch.

Hi Bo
Thanks for that, it does make you wonder. At the moment it's beyond me.

That's bonkers...
All I can suggest for your pending dispatch is to check the buyers feedback esp 'Feedback left for others'.
If they seem like someone who doesn't cause a lot of issues I'd send them all in the one parcel and trust that they wouldn't claim that they hadn't received the 'others' but it is your call to make as to whether you're happy doing that or not depending upon the value of the goods...

Did the buyer pay for all three items together or in three separate transactions? (or two)

Good Afternoon xy
They paid separately.

It sounds like you did everything correctly and something went wrong.
Does tracking of the second or third label currently show anything?
If you paid for postage, you can try getting a refund for the unused labels.
And you could try talking to ebay customer services ...

Hi xy
Thanks for your thoughts and advice. The second and third item labels show nothing at all unlike the first and only used one which is showing on it's way.
I think that I will give up and just write it off. A lesson I have learnt is to try and avoid listing and selling multiple items. I will try and just keep to single products. I don't want this malarkey again, although doom and despair is waiting for me on monday when I come to post out what could be the second problematic multiple purchase (that was bought this morning while I was at The Post Office.
You live and learn. Thanks xy and other respondents. I appreciate your input.

Does your PO take Evri parcels?
It seems that Evri are more compatible with SD and you will get a code for each parcel. My PO will input the code in the RM system to generate the labels so no need for the QR's.
You might not prefer Evri but if you are selling with SD, you are covered for any lost parcels ( I dont get many of these btw).

I don't understand this bit "avoid listing and selling multiple items. I will try and just keep to single products." What does multiple items/products mean? You are going to cut down from over 100 listings to 1 at a time? Or do you mean using Buyer Management to do this?
If it happens again Monday, personally I would post the first one and try a different post office for the others. If that failed, print the labels myself e.g. at a library and put them in post box. I realise that may not necessarily fit your/anyone's circumstances. Or call customer services.

Good Evening Cobweb
Thanks for the advice. Yes my local PO does take Evil stuff/parcels. That said I am loathe to use them having heard so many horror stories. In my case it's a Kylie Minogue situation ie Better The Devil you Know.
I appreciate your thoughts and contribution.

Good Evening xy
The suggestion in your second paragraph is excellent and I will give it a go ie I will try two different PO's. Let's face it I shouldn't have to do that but anything is worth a try and your idea has merit. Thank you..

The second and third aren’t going to reveal anything, because they didn’t scan, therefore don’t exist in the the system.
One of the failings of this SD - tiresome - roll out is the multiple order/combined order ineffectiveness.
The simple fact it requires more packaging, more processes throughout the the delivery system is ridiculous.
Parading the green, environmentally friendly banner and creating the excess baggage is fake.
I’m not a fan atm, my faith continues to dwindle.

Yes, that's what I expected. It doesn't explain "When the second and third QR codes were scanned the Post Master got a message on his screen saying that this QR code has already been used" though.
Sounds like the PM didn't do it correctly or some fault (bug) somewhere.

Hi, don't try 2 different post offices. If the code doesn't work in one, there is no reason why it should in another and once you have posted one item you will be left in the same position of having no way to post the others except to pay yourself, and then you cannot upload the tracking into ebay.
I would suggest that you ring ebay and explain the problem you had last time with the multiple labels and you don't want that to happen again as you will have more items to post on Monday. Ask the CS why you received 3 labels and also, if this happens again with your items on Monday and you get more than one lavel, which label you should use as you want to send all items together. Ebay CS are open every day, you could ring tomorrow so you can sort it out before Monday.

It's possible that the PM did not do things how they should have.
You can change tracking for (originally) SD orders.
Ebay's policy is if the buyer pays for multiple items separately, you send them separately.
Certainly the OP can call CS, I've mentioned it previously.
