HI
Has this happened to others?
An occasional seller, I bypassed ebay's Simple Delivery, with their choices of couriers.
Listed items, then noticed today, ebay have actually deleted my courier choice and put in their own selections!!
I've revised them back to my courier choice, but ? how long that will last !!

Not much choice but you can opt out of using Evri or Royal Mail on here:

All private sellers are being switched over to SD now.

It's not happened to me; but other people have reported it.
I'm surprised you could change it back.

Yes, I've also seen listing changes, including to my dispatch time. It was set at three days (which is the new maximum now), but on some listings changed to just two days. This isn't practical for me, especially with the number of buyers who purchase very late at night.

Thanks for replying.. Is it mandatory now?

I had a similar experience. I had several items listed as delivery inclusive - something, you remember, that eBay has touted for years. In my seller hub, all was normal. However, when reviewing one of these items a notice appeared telling me eBay had updated the item to Simple Delivery, thereby whacking a 2nd delivery charge onto the customer. No wonder nothing was selling. I've closed all my listings at present as there are so many issues with eBay profiteering (they get paid by EVRI for the business) this way.
Quite what happens now when delivery goes wrong & a courier fails to deliver properly is shrouded in mystery. If the courier marks it delivered, according to eBay statements, eBay no longer cover loss. There is then NO way to contact the courier direct because it is all arranged through eBay.
The whole system is fraught with flaws.

Yes, it is but you are supposed to be able to opt out for extra large or heavy items. Some people have had problems doing that but see the info and rick's solution on here:
