If you send an interested Buyer an Offer, it now lasts for 3 DAYS rather than the 2 that is used to. Did I miss the consultation or notification on this or is it just another one of these policies/changes that eBay inflicts upon us in the name of Progress which is actually a Backward step?
Whilst that Offer is in place I cannot edit that listing to make it more attractive to other potential buyers. Therefore I don't want the Offer period extended. If someone is that interested they generally accept within 24 hours, maybe 36, rarely 48 so why extend it to 72 hours?

Thanks for the link. So I'm right, an 'update' that eBay snuck in without telling us, that has no benefit for the Seller! eBay are a ****ing joke 🤬

OOOPS! UPDATE.... Offers now last for FOUR days not three as I originally posted. WHY WHY WHY ebay? You really have no clue what Sellers want do you?
Looks like I'm going to have to END listings early if Buyers don't accept the offer within the old time limit of 48 hours, so I can edit them and re-list with changes..... Thanks for making Selling harder with every 'update' you invoke.

Mmmm, I have just had an offer sent to me, and it's valid for 96 hours... 4 days.
So yep, it's changed, and yep, no announcement / warning, unless hidden in some ' small print somewhere'!

Happened on .com at the same time. Dissatisfaction on their boards also as no notification.

And will it take you 96 hours to decide whether to accept the offer or not? No, I don't think so, unless you are Watching an auction for a similar item that ends in the next 4 days....
But what if a similar item ends in 5 days? Or 7 days or 9 days? Why doesn't ebay make offers last 10 days? Or 28 days just in case you are watching another BUY IT NOW and you're hoping that Seller will send you a better Offer....

Meanwhile as a seller I can't send offers to other Watchers until these offers elapse or are declined. As a buyer my strategy is never to decline just in case I have a windfall while the offer's on and of course to stop other buyers being sent the offer. Much better for all to make the offer times short and sweet I think!
