Sending Golf Clubs/Simple Send

Hi there, I am completely at the end of my tether.

As a personal seller, I have sold a lot of golf clubs on ebay historically, I am always diligent sending via Parcelforce48 upon receipt of payment and sharing the tracking number with the buyer.

This 'simple send' process is laughable. I can't find any option to opt out of simple send; I am unable to exclude DHL, I am recommended to use DHL for a bulk parcel but a golf club will always exceed the maximum 120cm length. Over the weekend, I arranged collection by DHL for some packages, appears they have rejected the collection, no note or ticket left with me advising why but if they did turn up, assume it is because the parcel size exceeds the 120cm maximum length. However, I can't see any alternative options on eBay when I am listing.

Can someone please advise if I am missing something here or are others having a similar problem?

I can't contact DHL eCommerce, don't know what do do about rearranging collection or postage, have buyers messaging me unhappy (understandable) but have absolutely no idea how to resolve the issue.

Please help.

Cheers, Euan

Or the original workaround if you haven't been changed over yet - though I expect that everyone has by now.  https://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/Seller-Central/how-do-you-list-anything-bigger-than-61cm/m-p/7882486...

The way to avoid SD is to switch a Business account as SD doesn't apply there. Please note I am not suggesting you are running a business it is just the way to solve your problem.

Obviously you would have Fees to pay but your customers would not have to pay BPF so you could probably adjust your prices to counter the fees.
