Seller Hub

Hello, I hope you can help.  I keep seeing that people are able to choose their courier etc. by going to 'Seller Hub' and selecting 'Advanced Option' which opts them out of Simple Delivery, is this correct or have I misunderstood?  Also, do you have to be a business seller to use the 'Seller Hub'?

We have been repeatedly told different dates when Simple Delivery will become mandatory.  First it was the 15th April then the 28th. I have just done a test run and Custom Postage,  where you can select your own service is STILL  there !

It seems SD is being rolled out  Slowly for everyone, some have no choice,  but you can try this,  see if Custom Postage is available for you.

In the postage section click on Collection Only,  then click on Postage Only, below you may be lucky to See Custom Postage appear.

Be aware,  even if you can select your own service / price,  eBay have been automatically changing seller's existing listings over to SD.

You do not have to be a Business Seller to use Seller Hub,  everyone can use it.

i relisted 10 items last week (just for my own amusement) and the 3 that ended a couple of days ago have gone to SD if i want to relist them and the other 7 which are still live are still showing my postage.  They end today so that will be that for me.

Aaah thank you for that confirmation so yep existing listing are not avoiding the SD,  I was sorry to have stopped listing so early,  but not so much now.

We are getting reports here that existing listings which were lucky to slip the SD net and had custom postage / service added, are being turned into SD postage.

There's no escaping it!

ebay have faith in their lame duck .

The US Sellers are concerned it will be spread to them soon , once the guinea pig trial has suppressed UK sellers totally.

1.  If you can opt out of Simple Delivery, it is at the listing level not a global setting. When editing a listing it is in the "Delivery Details" section and you need to select Custom Shipping. You have to do it for every listing. If it is there. It depends ...

2. Anyone can use Seller Hub. I like it. Some don't.

Hello, Thank you for that information.   Custom postage is not available to me and I think I have no choice now but SD.  I'm not actually planning to list anything due to Simple Delivery and haven't listed anything for ages now as my protest about it.   The only listings I have at present are my templates and I was interested about how SD worked so thought I'd see how it worked.  I will have a look at the Seller Hub to see if I can choose 'Advanced Options'.  Thank you again.
