I DO NOT WANT SIMPLE OPTIONS. I HAVE TRIED TO OPT OUT AND USE MY TRIED AND TESTED METHOD...ROYAL MAIL TRACKED...I HAVE JUST SOLD SOMETHING AND AM BEING FORCED INTO CHARGING £2.73 POSTAGE WHEN I HAD PUT P & P AS £3.90. THE ITEM IS LARGE AND WILL NOT FIT INTO THE SLOTS. HOW CAN I SORT THIS??? i DO NOT WANT 'SIMPLE OPTIONS' AND AS FAR AS I CAN SEE THERE IS NO ALTERNATIVE.

"AS FAR AS I CAN SEE THERE IS NO ALTERNATIVE"
You are correct,Ebay are bringing this in from April 7th,it becomes mandatory from the 15th except for items under £10 or over 30kg.
There are many many other posts about "simple delivery".

I think the only thing you can do is either pay the postage out of your own pocket or cancel the sale. Neither are ideal.

I can see no end to issues like this... it will just go on & on until we have all been driven round the bend, or become too worn down to list anything... so if this is eBay's cunning plan to get rid of private sellers, I'd say they are succeeding...

I have seen so many posts like this one. Has anyone actually been given the right size label? 😂

eBay are treating sellers like simpletons!
The only thing simple about Simple Delivery is the fact that eBay has sellers stitched up completely.
They are presumably making a bundle by stopping any kind of choice of carrier but its wortse than that. You cannot alter the size of parcel or the weight of parcel and you have no idea how much you are paying for postage.
I have just sold some trainers for my wife and it was DPD with free collection which I don't want, no clue as to cost of the parcel or size (shoebox!)??? No clue either as to speed of delivery, compensation level.
But to cut to the chase, I am thinking of listing all items as 'collection only' with DELIVERY AVAILABLE in the subject line to circumvent this manipulation of the delivery market. Is anyone of similar mind over this tactic to force eBay's hand?
It's not quite a boycott of eBay, which is my next step if they continue to ride roughshod over people's preferences to line their own pockets.
I am still livid about the buyer protection they have foisted on sales which dampens down our ability to sell anyway.

Ebay use DPD for things like trainers when they are sent to be authenticated first before being sent to the buyer ( if they pass).

I took everything off sale a week ago expecting this to happen it's just top risky to sell anything

Oh, so eBay can select DPD for trainers etc, but otherwise Evri is the only courier option for evrithing else?!

Only for items that have to be authenticated. It is how they are always sent. You have never been able to choose your own postage for authenticated items.

Having just been to the post office to drop off my 2nd sale of the week, the lady at the counter asked me if there was a problem with ebay at the moment. She said that there are much fewer parcels coming into the post office and also that probably over 50% of the parcels that required a label printing were of the wrong size.
I explained about the BPF from the 4th of Feb hitting sales hard and also simple delivery messing everything up. I showed her the delivery options via simple delivery and she was shocked at waht ebay had done.
It really is another case of ebay interfering and fixing something that isnt broke just to line their pockets.

Just in case you were not joking, if you did that then you would not be able to input tracking showing delivery and the buyer is not going to give you the collection code if they didn't collect. Your payment will therefore be held for some time unless it falls under the low value/feedback release rule.
You cannot 'force ebay's hand' with this tactic, it will only harm you.
