I didn't know about the forthcoming postal price rises but I picked up a leaflet today.
My understanding of the price hikes is as follows:
1st Class Letter - £1.65 to £1.70
2nd Class Letter - £0.85 to £0.87
Second Class Large Letter up to 250g - £1.90 raising to £2.00
Second Class Large Letter up to 500g - £2.30 raising to £2.40
Second Class Large Letter up to 750g - £2.50 raising to £2.70
Second Class Small Parcel up to 2kg - £3.25 raising to £3.90
Second Class Medium Parcel up to 2kg - £4.85 raising to £6.29
Second Class Medium Parcel up to 10kg - £6.35 raising to £7.89
Second Class Medium Parcel up to 20kg - £10.25 raising to £11.89

Hard to believe a 1st class stamp used to cost 25p in 1995... & that seemed expensive back then...😄
