Given that buyers have 5 working days to pay for the item, this makes the money reaching your account

Ebay let their greed off the leash and don't care about how long you have to wait for payments.

All told they are introducing 3 new changes that represent 3 new income streams, they're out of control or more accurately their greed is in control.

You can change your payment settings... i have mine set so that unpaid items are automaticaly cancelled by ebay after 3 days. i think thats enough time to wait.

Buyers have as long to pay as you decide to let them.

You can choose immediate payment required or set the unpaid cancellation to kick in after 4 days.

Why have you put private in quotation marks?  Do you have doubts about your status?
