AS OF 15TH APRIL MY DAYS AS A PRIVATE EBAY SELLER WILL STOP AFTER 19 YEARS.

I AM FED UP OF THE GREED OF EBAY AND I HOPE OTHER EBAY SELLERS DECIDE TO NO LONGER LET THE EBAY CONTROL FREAKS HAVE THIS MUCH CONTROL OVER PRIVATE SELLERS.

They have already done it on 3 auctions that ended tonight. One had already paid, but I may cancel the other 2 as I don't care what eBay do or think anymore!

Just removed my listings but have to say I feel sorry for some of my buyers who have given me excellent feedback for purchases that they have bought from me and were more than keen to continue buying similar items. I can only hope that someday I'll be selling again and to be able to offer my regular buyers the service they deserve.

I have evri disabled

i Can send a small parcel up to 1kg  for 3.74…for 2kg…4.27 .not a saving as both prices more expensive than Royal Mail direct 

but if it’s a medium it’s cheaper than 3.74 or 4.27 cos that would be normally 5.15 or something more now

ebay don’t differentiate between small and medium sized parcels they go on weight

but my parcel isn’t medium so not cheaper

its ACTUALLY called Alice in wonderlands adventures ..by eBay , 1st edition 1st print 

postage will be something stupid

Anything with a mobile app doesnt help those here that dont have a smart phone. I tried transferring items to V a while back but as a new member and listing several things from a childhood collection I was accused of being a business seller and had my listings removed. Seems if you list 1 a day or couple of days then its ok but life is too short plus the platform is French.🤢

 we have a post office 1/2 a mile from us so with in walking distance but to find an evri drop off shop is a different kettle of fish we would have to venture into our local town so not convenient  for us .

I totally agree. A lot of people who brought from me brought more than once and I managed to maintain 100% feedback. Those buyers are what and who I'll miss.

There’s more inpost lockers than evri shops and inpost do to locker and to home deliveries

why they didn’t have them too as an option I don’t know 

yes they get filled up fast, depending, well I m sure inpost coud collect them 5 times a day instead of two if the business was there 

re evri I’m sure I read somewhere that post offices will now be evri drop off points but I think it said click to see participating branches so not all of them I assume just yet

I am also thinking enough after 20 years as a private seller. For starters eBay never consult users on anything, which is plain rude, we make their money. 
The new ‘simple’ postage does not allow for the fact that say, one vinyl record will weigh same as the next one, but selling price could be £6 or £160. I also resent being manipulated into using Britains worse courier, Evri, just so that eBay can make a takeover bid.
Also taking just a handful of items to post office is prone to error when juggling  QR codes - which are at times unreadable by the post office.

A business improvement plan should surely involve canvassing users of that business.

Any tips for alternative platforms welcome.

We have joined Ebid ,they charge a fee for upgrade but then everything is free and no SD

That's it. The last listing has finished. It's unlikely Ebay will give postage control back to sellers so I won't be returning. I don't sell anywhere else (I will try twitter for a few items) as the way of Ebay suited me.
