Hi all
I moved to a business account a week ago since then my sales are down over 60% , has anyone else mincing from a private to a business account in the last few weeks experienced the same ?
I spoke to eBay last night where they said in can take several weeks to “catalogue” your listing as a business seller I have about 1000 listings he also said he refreshed my listing and account. I don’t actually believe what he said and if it’s true eBay needs to be upfront with this prior to making the move.
I started to ramp up my Vinted listing about a month ago and on a very small amount of listing my sales on vinted are far exceeding in the last week on eBay….

I have been a business seller since 2013 I’ve never ever seen anything like this before. No sales some days. I took the grand total of £3:20 over the weekend. I’m selling different items on the site you mention. Have had some sales over weekend on a different place and sold £18.00.
So it’s more than likely eBay are fiddling in the background again.

I see you have lots of pre owned clothes, have you thought about joining eBays new pre loved program. Think it's free and you get a badge on your pre owned listings, buyers love a badge and it could increase sales

I haven't gone down the business seller route yet but you've definitely crossed over at a bad time with this update.
The update is annoying buyers and private sellers alike and within private sellers there tend to be lots of collectors and speaking from personal experience, we tend to buy as much or more than we sell.
Remove our sales, our purchases dry up to and a customer base is gone.
Then they also lost nobody knows how many users with the app update but given that phones like the Samsung Galaxy S8 and equivalent iPhones are being mentioned it's going to be a substantial cull from the userbase. Personally I wouldn't be surprised if it's more than 6 figures worth.

I don’t think it’s the account transition that’s the problem.
I have both private and business accounts and since September last year they have both nose-dived.
My Private account has had only 2 sales since January! admittedly not much on there now but these are card making bits my other half doesn’t need. They are really low priced and normally fly out. I’ve only had very few views even though I repriced to offset the BPF. They end in a few days so I won’t bother relisting.
Business account: I’m a small volume part-time seller. Mainly DIY hardware until my seasonal stuff kicks in next month. Again normally steady sales with several repeat (trade) customers but last September sales fell off a cliff, so much so I delisted everything until November then I got a handful of sales.
Since January, sales have gone from 8-10 per week (low I know but I don’t have much listed until March) to 1 every 10-12 days! I’m currently TRS with 100% pos feedback and even though I don’t promote, my listings are very high on search, and strangely often higher than those sponsored..!
TBH I think eBay has had its day. People are fed up with all the changes which have alienated genuine Private sellers and done nothing to help keep small businesses or retain buyers.
As a result I think most are now shopping elsewhere.
I’m now just clearing stock and if something doesn’t significantly improve on the site I shall be leaving as it’s pointless listing here if no one is looking.

Small business also been thinking of leaving as well, but there’s no where else to go as on most of the others.
